Hello!
My name is Shanise Ollie, a Genesee County Mom of 3 boys and, “oh,” there’s a husband too!
My husband and I have been married for 8 years this year, and this year on our anniversary we gave birth to our youngest son August A. Ollie (Anniversary is 8/9/2008). I am pretty passionate with connecting with women, and helping women create the lives they want to live when it comes to business. I heart fashion, shopping, cooking, ministry, God, and food, and not in that order. My interest in cooking has taken a crazy twist when I became gluten and dairy free for medical reasons. Now it takes strategic planning, and cooking when in comes to meals for the family. I now enjoy pinning a million recipes on Pinterest and making them gluten and dairy free, which can be a bit tricky, but lots of fun.
I am originally from Lansing, Michigan where I was born and raised for the most part (lived in Grand Rapids, MI for 8 years). I am a graduate of Everett High School Class of 2003, and then went on to graduate from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Currently I am working on my masters at Ashford University majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Entreprenuership. I have been focusing on studying and understanding all social media aspects and how they can help grow your craft, and business.
Living in Flint sometimes may come with a little backlash because the state of the City, and the water epidemic. I currently live south end of the city and have found plenty of exciting things and people to get involved with. There are new fashion events, business leadership seminars, and we have an awesome farmers market, and so many great women who are also mothers doing great things in the city. I find it hard to believe that people don’t see that when something seems dead, it only makes way for new life to happen. This only gives Flint a clean slate to define who it wants to be. I’ve encountered so many people outside, and inside the city who are raising up businesses, and looking to invest in small local businesses. We can’t give up on our city!

I enjoy eating at local businesses in the city while in between times of picking up the kiddos, or just hanging out downtown, and taking my kiddos to the Flint Children’s Museum.
One of my favorites spots is the Crepe Company downtown Flint (they sell Gluten Free crepes!), and I also love visiting different exhibits at our Flint Institute of Arts. There are great things going on, you have to get out and explore!

With all that being said I am super stoked to share with you all the great things going on in our great city, and all the little things I love and enjoy while being a busy mom. Talk to you Girls soon!! Muah!
