What the Mid-Michigan Moms’ Team REALLY Wants For Mother’s Day

It’s Mother’s Day! The one day of the year that is just for you, to honor all that you do for your family.

The big question is: how do YOU want to celebrate? We turned to our team – an amazing group of mamas – and asked them what the ideal Mother’s Day would look like to each of them. What did they really want? Below we share our answers!

A babysitter!!! Or a few new baby chicks! But really, about four pounds of chocolate would be a good start. – Mary C.

A day off and homemade kids crafts! – Melissa R.

I would like my family members to refrain from yelling “nummms!” Or “Snaaack!” at me for the whole day 😂 and then to eat dinner without complaint! – Katie A.

“Find Your Path” – Carrie Underwood’s latest book + new gardening gloves – Jessica S.

To be able to see all our family and friends again, or at least do a virtual celebration! Also, for someone to come clean my house after quarantine. – Stephanie

Takeout! Sleep in! Quiet reading time and snuggles too! – Jenna

Books or horseback riding lessons. – Mandy B.

Kendra Coconut cake! – Kendra

Spa day! – Nikki

A Day and night at a hotel – Lacy

A morning to sleep in with hot coffee in bed when I wake and a quiet, leisurely morning reading a book. Dinner out! I’m tired of cooking. And a nice massage. – Becky L

Apple Air Pods – Amanda M

I’ve always wanted a heartfelt, homemade gift. My husband leans toward the extravagant (God love him), but I’d be lying if I said I wouldn’t be completely tickled pink by some handprint art, or her scribbles emblazoned on a coffee mug. Something cute that her little chubby fingers were involved in. I’ll miss these moments when they pass, and I’ll take any and all the reminders of just how precious she was at this age. – Sarah T

Half of a day by myself to sit and read my book in silence! – Courtney

Sunshine, hugs/kisses from my family, flowers to plant – Katie L

A night by the bonfire with my family (but I wouldn’t turn down a giant Starbucks Frappuccino either)! – Sarah J

Chocolate and spending time with my daughter. Maybe a chance to sleep in. – Lauren S

Eight hours straight of sleep and some alone time to clean my house with no kids. – Carli

Noble Fish sushi, an old fashioned, and a bubble bath. Simultaneously. – Kylie

A family size hammock and stand, updated family photos, HP sprocket, and journals – Magann

Yeti coffee mug! I just want to finish one warm cup of coffee in the mornings. – Cassie

Take-out all day. I don’t want to cook or wash a single dish. – Christine

Whether it’s time alone you crave or a day spent with the littles who made you a mom, we wish all of you a wonderful Mother’s Day!
