Does anyone else feel like this summer is just flying by?  Seriously?  It is JULY!  Already!  There is a lot going on so grab your calendars and let’s get marking!

July 2nd – Summer’s were meant for reading!  There are LOTS of Story Times happening around Genesee County today courtesy of the Genesee District Library, including in Davison and Grand Blanc.  Check out their calendar to see the different times offered this morning!  And who knows?  We may see you at the Davison branch!

July 2nd – Head to Saginaw today for Chess Club at the Hoyt Library from 3pm until 7pm!  Checkmate!  We’ll see you there!

July 3rd – Join us today at the Wickes library in Saginaw County from 1:30pm until 2:30pm for Movie and Snacks!

July 5th – Head to the Beecher-Vera B Rison branch of the Genesee District Library tonight from 5:30pm until 6:30pm for the Exotic Zoo!  You will have the chance to get hands-on with a sloth, lemur, an anteater-looking animal and even a kangaroo!  All ages are welcome!  We hope to see you there!

July 6th – Have you been wanting to check out Applewood Estates in Flint but haven’t had a chance to yet?  Today is the perfect day!  Round up the kids and head there from 11:30am until 12pm for Storytime at Applewood.  The Ruth Mott Foundation hosts this FREE event.  Today’s story is “The Crayon Box that Talked“.  After storytime, stick around for the U of M Pop-Up School for activities!  We hope to see you there!

July 6th – Head to Richfield Bowl in Flint tonight for Fun Family Bowling Night!  From 6:30pm until 8:30pm, you can bowl for $7/person.  This includes two hours of glow bowling and shoe rental!  P.S. – if your child is registered at Kids Bowl Free, you can use their coupon to waive the bowling fee for them!

July 7th – It’s our favorite Saturday of the month!  Head to your local Home Depot this morning from 9am until 12pm for their FREE Kids Workshop!  Today your kiddos will have the opportunity to make a Fishing Game!  Be sure to register ahead of time to ensure your store has enough supplies for everyone!

July 7th – Head to Baker Park today from 11am until 12pm or the Clio branch from 2pm until 3pm to catch Bubbleman!  He has enchanted many, young and older, for years with his bubble magic!  You won’t want to miss this mesmerizing program!  We hope to see you there.

July 7th – Couldn’t make it to Home Depot this morning?  No worries, Michael’s has you covered with today’s MAKEbreak event:  Milky Way Slime!  From 1pm until 3pm, head to your local store for a project that is out of this world!  All supplies are provided for today’s event!  We’ll see you there!

July 7th – Head south to Brandon High School in Ortonville tonight at 5pm for a Food Truck Rally and Fireworks!  There will be 10 food trucks, local musicians, face painting and so much more, followed by fireworks at dusk!  We hope to see you there!

July 8th – Did the holiday last week throw you off?  Need to find your zen?  Head to Applewood Estates today for Yoga in the Gardens!  From 11:30am until 12:30pm, join us for a FREE session designed to build strength, flexibility and mindfulness.  A limited number of mats are available, so if you have one, please bring it.  We’ll meet you in the Garden!

July 10th – Head over to the Davison branch of the Genesee District Library today from 1pm until 2pm for Bee-utiful Music!  Geared toward kids ages 4 – 7, they will have the chance to get their buzz on bees and other bugs while singing songs and creating art to take home!

July 10th – Head to Imlay City tonight from 6pm until 7:30pm for Arts & Scraps Mobile!  On the grounds of Lamb Steele Park, you will have the chance to make a craft onsite to take home.  Bring a blanket and enjoy all that is around.  We hope to see you there!

July 10th – July 12th – Is that a Secret Agent right there?  Yeah, right there!  Perfect!  They are sure to love the Secret Agent Academy Spy Camp held over the next few days at the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum in Saginaw!  From 9am until 4pm each day, children will have the chance to identify sneaky criminals that have pulled off the caper of the summer!  They will look for fingerprints, create disguises and more!

July 11th – Head to Tittabawassee Township Park today in Freeland from 10am until 12pm for Carnival Day!  Admission is FREE!  We hope to see you out!

July 12th – It’s that time again!  Head to Frankenmuth tonight from 3pm until 9pm for the Frankenmuth Funtown Chowdown Food Truck Festival!  More than 5,000 people come out over the summer to take advantage of the fun offered here in Frankenmuth!  There are 20 trucks, a large tent for seating, a children’s play village and many more activities!  We look forward to this every month and hope to see you there!

July 12th – Stop by the Bridgeport Public Library today from 4pm until 5pm and watch as Summer Reading Program participants take the stage with Disney Karaoke!  Sing solo or come in a group!  This is sure to be a fun evening in the books, because who doesn’t love a good Disney song?!  We’ll see you there!

July 13th – Head to the back lawn of Flint City Hall tonight for Movies Under the Stars!  On the screen is Despicable Me 3!  The party will begin at 7:30pm and is expected to go until 11:30pm.  There will be a community resource fair to kick off the night along with other pre-movie activities and games!  FREE popcorn, snacks and giveaways!  Grab your blankets or lawn chairs and bring the family!  We’ll see you there!

July 13th – July 15th – Head to Flint this weekend for the 11th Annual Our Lady of Lebanon Mid-East Festival!  There will be fresh Middle Eastern food, kid games, entertainment, music and more!  Not to mention fireworks on Friday AND Saturday!  Parking is $3, but admission is FREE!  We hope to see you there!

July 14th – I don’t know about you, but we have been waiting for this day all year!  Celebrate all that Flint has to offer from 10am until 4pm today with Be a Tourist in Your Home Town!  Stretch your dollar (that’s it – $1) with your passport for admission, complimentary transportation and restaurant discounts to a list, and do we mean a LIST of venues and attractions!  Be sure to check out all that is offered and who knows, maybe we will see you along the path today!

July 14th – Head to downtown Fenton today from 10am until 8pm for the 8th Annual Fenton ArtWalk.  This is a family friendly event in which local and regional artists are showcased and celebrated!  This is sure to be a day filled with fun and we hope to see you there!

July 16th – Head to the Zauel Memorial Library in Saginaw today for a Monday Matinee.  Showing Despicable Me 2 from 2pm until 5pm, this is sure to be a fun afternoon!  We hope to see you there!

July 16th – Back the Blue tonight at The Cottage Creamery in Midland with Cone with a Cop!  Kids and parents will have the opportunity to interact with Officers from Midland Police Department tonight from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.  Come out, grab an ice cream and chat a minute!  We’ll see you there!

July 17th – Meet us at the Genesee Valley Center branch of the Genesee District Library tonight from 5pm until 6pm for a Noisemaker Workshop!  You read that right!  Kids will have a chance to choose their material and build their own musical instruments to take home!  We hope to see you there!

July 17th – July 19th – Geared towards children ages 6 to 10, the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum in Saginaw is hosting Color My World Art & Music Camp over the next few days from 9am until 4pm.  Children will have the opportunity to use their creative talents making instruments, creating museum-worthy masterpieces, learning to play the keyboard and some culinary skills to boot!  This is sure to be a fun camp, so be sure to register ahead of time!

July 18th – Head to the Flint Farmer’s Market downtown tonight from 4:30pm until 7:30pm for the 2018 Downtown ThrowdownFREE family fun and entertainment is sure to be in the forefront tonight!  Live music, free games, arts and crafts and more!  Buy “taste tickets” 10 for $10 or 30 for $22.  We hope to see you there!

July 19th – Head to Applewood Estates in Flint today from 4pm until 8pm for Savor the Summer!  There will be live music, outdoor games, activities and more!  This a FREE, family friendly event!  We hope to see you out tonight!

July 19th – Make your way to the parking lot of Goodrich High School tonight from 5pm until 9pm for  Third Thursday Food Truck!  It’s advised that you wear your eating pants because these Food Trucks are coming packed so you won’t leave hungry!  We hope to see you out!

July 19th – July 21st – Head towards downtown Owosso over the next few days for its Annual Sidewalk Sale!  Take advantage of shopping at a discount, not to mention a concert at the Amphitheater, Car Cruise and Farmer’s Market!  We hope to see you out this weekend!

July 20th – Preschool Storytime happens today frmo 10:30am until 11:30am at Butman-Fish Library in Saginaw.  There will be stories, activities, games and more!  We hope to see you there!

July 20th – Meet us at Morley Plaza in Saginaw tonight from 5:30pm until 9pm for Friday Night Live:  Kickin’ Country!  Admission is FREE and this is sure to be a good time!  We’ll see you there!

July 21st – Say it ain’t so!  SantaCon – Christmas in July is happening tonight in Frankenmuth from 4pm until 10pm (an adult event, I suppose)!  Dress your Christmas best (your favorite elf, or even the “man” himself, Santa).  Drinks aplenty and end the night with a “best costume” contest!  Maybe we’ll catch a sitter and head out for a night on the town and see you there!

July 24th – Head over to Caro today for Kid’s Day @ the Tuscola County Fair from 10am until 6pm!

July 24th – July 28th – Head to Imlay City over the next few days for the 2018 Eastern Michigan State Fair.  There will be Grandstand Entertainment, a Sea Lion Splash, Midway, games 4-H shows and more!  We hope to see you out!

July 26th – Krossroads Park Summer Movie Series in Saginaw is in full swing!  Join us tonight at 9:30pm for a showing of Coco!  This is a FREE event and we hope to see you there!

July 27th – Meet us back at Applewood Estates in Flint today from 11:30am until 12pm for Storytime at Applewood!  Local children’s author, Teresa Baker, will be onsite reading her book, “Josie’s Bedazzled Shoes“.  Stick around after storytime for fun-filled activities!

July 27th – We have been waiting for this Friday All. Summer. Long.  Seriously.  Head to Midland tonight from 9:30pm until 11:30pm for Outdoor Movie:  The Greatest Showman at Dow Gardens!  Bring a blanket, chair, friends and a picnic!  We hope to sing, oops, I mean see, you there!

July 28th – Meet us at the Harvey Kern Pavilion in Frankenmuth today from 12pm until 4pm for 2018 Family Fun Day!  This is a FREE event filled with inflatables, games a DJ, refreshments and more!  We hope to see you there!

July 28th – Here is a popular one.  Beecher-Vera B Rison branch of the Genesee District Library is hosting a Scrubs, Lip Balms and Bath Salts Workshop today from 2pm until 3pm.  Learn how to make scrubs and balms from common household ingredients!  We hope to see you there!

July 28th – Okay mama’s!  Grab your girlfriends for this ADULTS ONLY class being offered at the Mt Morris branch of the Genesee District Library.  Today from 2pm until 3pm, you can learn how to make a personalized bag to take home at this DIY Monogrammed Tote Bag class!  We hope to see you there!

July 29th – Head to Huntington Event Park in Saginaw tonight at 7pm for Saginaw Eddy Concert:  Made in Michigan.  This is a FREE event hosted each Sunday evening during the summer.  We hope to see you there!

July 30th – This sounds too good to be true!  Yoga and Ice Cream?!  Meet us at the Cottage Creamery in Midland tonight from 6pm until 7pm for an hour of beginners yoga followed by delicious ice cream to top off your night!  Bring your own mat or towels and water.  We’ll see you there!

July 31st – Have you ever wanted a robot friend?  Now is your chance!  Geared towards kids ages 8 and older, join us today from 5pm until 6pm at the Fenton-Winegarden branch of the Genesee District Library for Dash and Dot Robots!  You will use robots to solve puzzles and challenges.  We hope to see you there!
