Summer Camps In + Around Mid-Michigan: A 2022 Guide

Summer is on the horizon, and there are so many wonderful options for summer camp fun in + around Mid-Michigan! So put away those snow boots and dust off your sandals {almost}!

We are so pleased to bring you our 2022 Mid-Michigan Guide to Summer Camps! 

Below you will find information on the variety of summer camps – from traditional overnight camps and museums to language camps and more.

Camp Copneconic

Nestled within 700 acres of beautiful and serene property, YMCA Camp Copneconic is a true, local gem. With a rich, local history, Camp C has offered outdoor programs since 1915. Campers have the opportunity to experience an amazing and wide variety of summer camp programming
The wonderful staff put your camper’s physical, mental, emotional, and social health at the forefront of everything they do.

Day Camp activities include giant inflatable water toys, boating, zip lines, high ropes, horses, nature exploration, games, and more. Overnight Camps at YMCA Camp Copneconic are where memories are made… along with lifelong friendships, self-confidence, and independence. Campers will unplug from technology and reconnect with nature, participating in a variety of traditional camp activities during each session!

Where needed, Camp Copneconic will continue to implement safety protocols to ensure that kids are able to safely interact again this summer.

Campers experience more than just the activities! They experience their troubles and insecurities washing away. They feel a sense of belonging and camaraderie, and discover things about themselves they never knew before. In an exciting, intentional, safe, and nurturing camp environment, youth learn the importance of good character all while making lasting friendships and memories.

Speech Language Learning Center

The annual Say and Play programming at the Speech Language Learning Center is back in session for 2022!

Summer programs provide Speech and Language Therapy and Occupational Therapy in small group settings using theme-based activities. The group is facilitated by a Certified and Licensed Speech Language Pathologist and Occupational Therapist. 

This summer’s session will run for six weeks, from June 20 – July 29, 2022.

Midland Center for the Arts

Camp is a great way to build confidence, discover hidden talents, and explore one’s passions. 2022 summer camp options at the Center are many! Campers from Pre-K through 8th grade are invited to experience a world of creativity.

Camp dates: June 6th – August 8th, 2022.

YMCA Camp Hayo-Went-Ha

Located near Traverse City, YMCA Hayo-Went-Ha Camps offer a dynamic combination of wilderness experiences and on-site activities at separate boy’s and girl’s camps. Each camp offers challenging wilderness adventure programs at each age level.

YMCA Camp Ohiyesa

OHIYESA

YMCA Camp Ohiyesa is located on the shores of Fish Lake in Holly, Michigan. Now in its 104th year, Camp Ohiyesa offers day and overnight camps for children ages 4-16. Summer camp sessions run from June through August.

Black River Farm and Ranch
