Each October, since 1987, has been observed as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This month is used to shed light on Domestic Violence – one of our nation’s top health concerns – spread awareness of local and national resources, programs, and services, and educate others on the types, warning signs, and how you can help yourself or others that may be in need.
Regardless of what brought you to this resource, please know that you are not alone. There are safe services and individuals that are available to help 24 hours a day.
This guide is not intended to be used in emergency situations.
If you are experiencing an emergency, please dial 911.
