April 1st – April 7th

April 1st – Happy Easter, mama’s!  Are you looking for last minute plans today?  Check out Signature Chop House in Flushing today from 11am until 5pm for their Easter Brunch!  The menu looks delicious and I am sure will not disappoint!

April 1st – This is not an April Fool’s Joke!  I repeat, this is not an April Fool’s Joke!  Head to Saginaw today from 12pm until 5pm where Grandparents Play Free (the first Sunday of every month) at the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum!  

April 2nd – Let’s find our zen tonight from 6pm until 7pm and the Grand Blanc-McFarlen branch of the Genesee District Library with some Yoga!  Bring your mat and enjoy this hour long session led by yoga instructor, Katrina.  Be sure to register to secure your spot.  Class size is limited!

April 4th – Bring your baby/toddler and head to the Flushing branch of the Genesee District Library this morning from 10:30am until 11:30am for Baby Steps with Miss Katie!  Your child will have fun while exploring and learning with music, books and more!  We hope to see you here!

April 4th – Head to Howell tonight from 7pm until 9pm for some Wine and WisdomThe Moxie Studio will be hosting this FREE event to help us understand the best way to relieve some of our most common aches and pains.  Bring your smile (and yoga mat if you have one).  We hope to see you here!

April 5th – If this doesn’t sound fun, I don’t know what does!  Head to Frankenmuth today at 2:30pm for Pretzel Rolling at Bavarian Inn Restaurant!  You will be transformed into a German baker, or at least you’ll be walked through the proper pretzel-rolling methods, bake and enjoy!  Cost is $5.49.  We’ll meet you in the kitchen!

April 6th – Filled with fun and games and “Mom Approved Music“, head out to Rollhaven Skating Center in Flushing tonight from 6pm until 10pm for Inflata-Skate Nite!  There will lots of inflatable fun, games, prizes and more!  Cost is $8 and skate rental is $4.  We hope to see you here!

April 7th – A fan favorite!  Head out to your local Home Depot today for the FREE monthly Kids Workshop!  Today, from 9am until 12pm, your child(ren) will have the opportunity to get closer to nature by building a Bird House!  Be sure to register to ensure that your store has the correct amount of supplies on hand!

April 7th – Hosted by the City of Lapeer Community Center Parks & Recreation, you are invited to the Lapeer Rec Center tonight from 6pm until 8pm for a Spring Fling!  There will fun in the gym and pool, not to mention crafts and snacks!  This is an all-ages event, however, children under the age of 10 require adult participation.  Cost is $10 per child and registration is not required.  We hope to see you tonight!

April 7th – Do you have a budding Scientist in your home?  Or are you looking to learn more about science?  Tonight is for you!  Seven Ponds Astronomy Club is partnering with UM Flint and Longway Planetarium to bring you AstroNite from 7pm until 10pm at the Murchie Science Building in downtown Flint.  This a FREE, family-oriented event with lots of kid and adult activities.  There will telescopes, Longway will be bringing their portable planetarium and there will be a feature visit by shuttle astronaut Story Musgrave!  We hope to see you here!

April 8th – April 14th

April 8th – Call all Superheros and Superheros in Training!  We’ve got a special day just for you!  From 11am until 12:30pm, we invite you to Bavarian Inn in Frankenmuth for a Superhero Luncheon.  Dine alongside the Man of Steel and Spider Hero.  There will be food and fun, including a magic show, balloon shaping, photo opportunities, coloring pages and a gift from the Superheros.  Cost is $35 per person and includes all of the aforementioned, as well as tax and gratuity.  We hope to see you out!

April 8th – After your Superhero Luncheon, why not head to North Branch from 2pm until 3:30pm for Kid’s Making Memories at Campbell’s Greenhouse?  You won’t just be digging in the dirt, you will be fostering a lifetime of love in the garden.  Kid’s will get their hands dirty creating a garden treasure to take home and enjoy all summer long.  This is a FREE event for children 12 and under.  You must pre-register and be sure to dress to mess!  We’ll see you there!

April 10th – Head to Genesee District Library Headquarters this afternoon from 4pm until 5pm for Galactic Goo!  Geared towards kids ages 6 to 12, they will have the opportunity to make some out-of-this world goo, while learning about chemistry, matter and molecules!  We hope to see you there!

April 12th – I love that the Davison Farmers Market is open year-round.  I love it even more that they have classes for adults!  Head over today from 3pm until 4pm for the Adult Spring Paper Tulip Craft Event!  This is a FREE event in which you will learn how to craft your own paper origami tulip!  Snacks will be provided by sponsoring vendors at the Market.  We hope to see you there!

April 14th –  Hosted by the friends of Weiss Child Advocacy Center, head downtown to the Flint Farmers Market today from 9am until 12pm for the annual Flint Superhero 5k Run & Walk and 1k Fun Run.  This event is limited to 2,000 registrations, so be sure to register early!  All participants are encouraged to dress as their favorite superhero and will receive a medal.  We hope to see you there!

April 14th – Head to Birch Run today from 10am until 2:30pm for ABC 12’s 8th Annual Family Expo, held at Frankenmuth Credit Union Event Center.  This is a FREE event that will be filled with fun for all ages!  Children’s activities, special guests, demonstrations and some of our favorite ABC12 on-air personalities!  This is an event we look forward to every year in our home!  We hope to see you there!

April 14th – Spring Break was a success.  The kids are back to school and now mama wants to have a little fun!  Grab your significant other or girlfriends and head over to Fenton Winery & Brewery for the 2nd Annual Adult Egg Hunt & Garden Party!  This is a 21 and older event.  The Beer Garden will officially be open at 12pm and the Egg Hunt will kick off at 2pm.  Cost is a minimum $5 donation to the Lions Bear Lake Camp.  Fun is sure to be had by all!  We hope to see you there!

April 16th – Frankenmuth by itself helps me find my zen.  Throw in yoga, and I’m in heaven!  Head out to the Fischer Hall and Museum tonight at 6pm for yoga with Nancy!  All ages are welcome.  Cost is $5.  We hope to see you on the mats!

April 17th – A cause near and dear to so many, myself included.  Hosted by Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, you are invited, regardless of your age, to come out tonight from 5pm until 7pm for a FREE Breast Cancer Screening.  No appointment or registration is required!  *Follow-ups will be scheduled if needed.

April 18th – Head over to The Local Grocer in Flint tonight from 5:30pm until 7:30pm for Craft Academy:  Miniature Plastic Terrarium.  We will create a mini terrarium with a moss base using plastic – so no spillage or dead plants!  Cost is $20 and all supplies are included.  Class size is limited, so be sure to register soon!  We’ll see you there!

April 20th – 21st – Please tell me I’m not the only “child of the ’80’s”?!  This weekend is 80’s Fest in Frankenmuth!  Friday’s schedule does not have an age limit, and Saturday is restricted to 21 and older.  There will be a “best dressed”, break dancing and more (be sure to check their website for more details)!  Come dressed in your 1980’s memorabilia and get ready to show us what you’ve got!  Cost is $12.  We hope to see you there! 

April 20th – This is going to be DINO-MITE, friends!  Are you ready for another night of just grown-ups?  Grandma and Grandpa have missed the kids, so see if they’ll take them for the night and grab the special person in your life and head to Midland Center for the Arts tonight from 7pm until 11pm!  There is prehistoric fun to be had for the 21 and older crowd.  Cash bar and pizza.  DJ (music) and dancing.  A dino obstacle course and more!  Tickets are $15.  We hope to see you at the Dino-Mite Late Nite Prehistoric Party!

April 21st – Did you have fun last night at Midland Center for the Arts?  How about meeting us back there this morning from 8am until 2pm for an Earth Day Expo!  This is a FREE, kid-friendly event to celebrate our great Earth!  There will be demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages!  We hope to see you there!

April 21st – Let’s continue celebrating Mother Earth today from 10am until 2pm at the Saginaw Children’s Zoo!  The event marks the FIRST DAY of the Zoo’s 2018 season.  The first 400 people will get FREE admission.  After that, tickets are $5.  Come Celebrate Earth Day by learning to live sustainably!  We hope to see you there!

April 21st – Let’s cater to the older children in your lives for a minute (16 and older).  And with that, it is sure to be a fun one!  The Dow Event Center in Saginaw is hosting a Glo Hard Paint/Foam Party tonight from 6pm until 11:30pm.  There will be music, a foam cannon, LED hoopers, paint cannons and more!  Get ready to be foamed!

April 22nd – April 28th

April 22nd – Join us today at Longway Planetarium for Starry Tea.  From 10am until 11am, we will have tea under the stars!  There will be finger food and an assortment of teas.  There will also be a short tour of the night sky over Michigan!  Space is very limited, so be sure to get your tickets soon!  We hope to see you here!

April 23rd – Come on our to Mott Community College Regional Technology Center tonight from 5pm until 8:30pm for the 2018 Bee Symposium!  Explore the role of pollinators in our environment.  See live bees, purchase native plants and view displays of honey and other bee-related items.  This is a FREE event.  Light refreshments will be provided.  We hope to see you out as we learn about bees and their role in our world!

April 24th – Let your artistic side go wild!  Geared towards kids, ages 5 to 12, you are invited to Kids’ Craft Club at the Beecher-Vera B. Rison branch of the Genesee District Library today from 6pm until 7pm!  Supplies are available on the Craft Cart.  We hope to see you here!

April 27th – Ladies!  Head to downtown Holly tonight from 5pm until 9pm and Step Into Spring!  Arrive early.  Stay late.  Shop downtown Historic Holly, sip, socialize, win prizes and much more!  This is sure to be a fun night on the town!

April 28th – Head out to the Midland City Forest today from 8am until 1pm for the Fast & Furriest 5k Run/Walk!  Bring your pooch and hit the trail!  This is a timed event with prizes.  We hope to see you there!

April 28th – Join us today at Fashion Square Mall in Saginaw for the NBC25 Health Expo from 11am and 4pm.  This is a FREE event offering a myriad of exhibits, activities and more!  Meet local businesses, doctors, specialists and more!  We hope to see you there!

April 28th – Come out to Fenton-Winegarden branch of the Genesee District Library today from 1pm until 2pm with Library Assistant, Ryan, and learn how to design items for 3D printing during this Make a Tinkercad Mother’s Day Gift event!  We hope to see you there!

April 29th – Do you want to Run Like an Animal?  Join us today from 6:30am until 1pm at Swan Valley High School in Saginaw for the Saginaw Children’s Zoo inaugural race!  There is something for everyone today!  We hope to see you out and about!

April 29th – I’m sure you’ve seen it on the news, or read about it online, but Genesee County is getting another park!  Join us today at 2pm for the Atlas County Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!  150 acres of natural landscape await!  Let’s get going!

April 29th – Head to Davison tonight from 8pm until 9:30pm for the April Full Moon Hike!  Full Moons are surrounded by legends and superstitions, and at Robert Williams Nature and Historical Learning Center, tonight will be no different!  Come out and venture into the woods, listen for creatures of the night and finish the night around the campfire with s’mores and stories!  Dress accordingly and bring your flashlight!  Tickets are $8.  We’ll meet you in the woods!
