We can hardly believe Mid-Michigan Moms Blog is celebrating its third birthday!
What started as a small group with the goal of building community, has become the go-to online resource for everything parents need in and around the Mid-Michigan area. We are honored to have shared three years of guides, playdates, stories, advice, mom’s night outs, tips, giveaways, events, and a bustling online community.
Our third birthday also brings many new faces to our social communities. This past year the Mid-Michigan Moms Blog’s Facebook page grew from 1,800 followers to over 5,800 and our Instagram audience grew from 500 to 2,400. We are so, so touched to see how many moms, moms-to-be, and parents follow and support us. We truly hope we are making a difference in your day because each like, share, and comment of yours for sure makes ours.
The past year has brought us many reasons to celebrate. Bloom, our event for new and expecting moms, at the McLaren Hospitality House was a sold-out occasion. Our Galentine’s Night Out at the Holly Vault was a wonderful and beautiful event to regroup and connect after a bustling holiday season. Our bi-monthly Monday Moms segment with the lovely Dawn Jones of ABC12, and spearheaded by Mid-Michigan Mom’s own Jenna, continues to give us the wonderful opportunity to connect with the greater Mid-Michigan area, sharing tips, tricks, advice, solidarity, and more.
2019 brought so many wonderful changes to the Mid-Michigan Moms Blog team as well. Our contributing team welcomed many amazing writers and our executive team grew to include, Jenna, our Community Engagement Coordinator, Jess A., our Managing Editor, and Jess S., our Social Media Coordinator. We are beyond blessed to have each of these women on our team and are so very thankful for their support.
We celebrate our birthday with all of you today. Without YOU we’d just be a group of local mommas blogging about our motherhood journey who get together at random times throughout the year for celebrations and events, but because of YOU, we are bigger than that, we are team who has brought thousands upon thousands of moms together to create a deeper sense of community in + around Mid-Michigan.
We’ve come A LONG way since December 12th, 2016… and we are thrilled to say that 2020 has some HUGE announcements in store. We cannot wait to share our online Baby Sprinkle and Cookies With Santa events, Mom’s Meetups, Playdates through our C+C groups, and new pieces from our outstanding contributor team.
