Hey, y’all! I’m Kristen, and I’m an in-between momma right now! Native to Swartz Creek, Michigan, I moved to Austin, Texas at 22 to find myself. That resulted in me meeting my main squeeze, Steve. That was it, I thought. I married a Texan. I was never able to live in another state again {haha!}.
Fast forward a year, our daring and dynamic DJ came along! She is everything I ever thought a sassy four-year-old would be. She’s fearless, loves roller coasters, dancing, animals and so much more. For years we were the three musketeers with our three pups in our ‘little’ bubble called Austin taking the world on without family around us and making my Texan Tribe from scratch.
Then, one day in August 2018 we decided to put our house on the market and moved to Michigan! We’re currently living in Swartz Creek, but our lives are centered in Owosso, hence making me an in-between momma!
I’m a full-time working mom trying to find the balance in life. I grew up being a Great Lakes girl, snowmobiling, boating, cheering for and going to MSU {Go Green!}. Photography is one of my hobbies, I’m a fan of scenic routes, adventures in any capacity, books, coffee, rainy days, lakes, camping, and speaking/owning your truth {I’m quirky, messy, clumsy, and tell terrible jokes, but hey, I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t}. I love being active, but there’s also something about lazy afternoons with my husband just catching up on any TV shows/movies we want. Smut TV {I’m looking at you, Bravo} is my go-to when I need to veg out, and if I’m not barefoot, I’m usually wearing my cowboy boots.
I’m really excited to re-discover Michigan, show my Texan family what four seasons are actually like and be a part of MidMMB. It’s already been an adventure and I can’t wait to share with y’all what’s to come!
