Entwined by Heather Dixon: Based on the 12 dancing princesses fairy tale. Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters are forced to dance for the keeper in his silvery forest. The book is filled with whimsical scenery and descriptive passages. Throughout the whole story, you are trying to figure out how to rescue these sweet girls.
The Selection Series by Kiera Cass: Set in a post-American society ruled by a royal family. In the first 3 books, 35 girls take the chance of a lifetime to compete for the heart of the prince and become his wife. The main character, America Singer, finds the selection to be a nightmare as she has her heart torn between 2 loves. Will the old love with Apsen or the new love with Prince Maxon win in the end? The last 2 books are based on Maxon’s Daughter as she comes of age to hold a selection of her own.
The Glittering Court Series by Richelle Mead: The Glittering Court Series consists of 3 books each following a different girl from the glittering court. Being a part of the Glittering Court is a chance of a lifetime to go to the new world. The Girls are taken from poor living conditions and trained to be a part of the elite class of the new world. They are promised a chance to change their destiny and unspoiled adventure are they find husbands and join the upper class of the new world.
The Betrothed by Kiera Cass: A would-be queen is faced with doing as her family and king want her to do by marrying the king and signing away her life and her children, or following her heart to follow love and a life with a commoner and refugee. Does Hollis do as she is told or does she follow her heart as she faces tragedy and fear?
Princess of the Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George: Another 12 Dancing Princesses Story. The king announces a riddle and says whoever solves it may marry one of his daughters. But as each suiter fails the hope of the princesses being freed from the nightly torture is dashed. But could a knitting garden boy solve the riddle and free the princesses before they are married off?
