5 Simple Ways to Display Your Kid’s Artwork

At the end of the week, you might find yourself with a fresh pile of your kid’s artwork. If you’re anything like me you can’t work up the nerve to recycle anything in that pile so it gets tucked away in a drawer or finds a home on the already covered refrigerator.

Here are 5 simple ways you can display your kid’s artwork!

Display Kid's Artwork

  1. Create a photo book. Every time you receive a new piece of art take a picture of it and add it to a photo book. One quick and simple way to do this is to download a photo book app on your smartphone and add your photos to it right from your phone. My favorite photo book app is ChatBooks. Then, once the photo book is full you can print it, have it delivered right to your door, and have all the artwork in one spot. Keep your new photo book in a spot where you and your family can look through it whenever your hearts desire.
  2. Frame your favorites. Every so often your little artist might create a piece of art that pulls every heartstring. Frame those pieces and find a special spot in your home for them.
  3. Hanging display. Find a spot in your home that you can create a kid’s artwork display. In our home, I nailed 4 nails into an empty wall in our mudroom, hung 2 pieces of string, and use clothespins to display our daughter’s artwork. As the clothespins fill up I find it easier to recycle old paintings and drawings if I can replace them with new ones. Display Kid's Artwork
  4. Share the love. I think it’s safe to say most grandparents love art created by their grandchildren. Next time you visit grandma and grandpa ask your child to choose a piece of art to give to them. Don’t forget your office space! Place a frame on your desk and rotate it with different artwork.
  5. Bulletin boards. If your child comes home from school with a favorite piece of art let them display their artwork in their room. Put a bulletin board above their nightstand and allow them to display their favorite artwork for their own enjoyment.

Don’t let any more artwork pile up where it’s never to be seen again. Display the art, enjoy it, and share it with the people you love.
