January 1st
Paw Patrol is coming to Skateland Arena in Mt Morris! From 12pm until 9pm today, you can participate in PAW PATROL SKATE! Tickets are on sale now, so be sure to get yours before its too late!
Happy New Year – All Day Skate! Mark your calendars and head out to Flushing to Rollhaven Skating Center for New Year Day fun! From 1pm until 8:30pm, skate your hearts out for $7.50. Skating is new {and FUN} pasttime in our home, so maybe we’ll see you there!
January 3rd
Head over to the Swartz Creek-Perkins branch of the Genesee District Library today from 2pm until 4:30pm for Coloring Club! It isn’t just for kids anymore! Take it from me, coloring, even as an adult, is so enjoyable and relaxing!
January 4th
Presented for FREE by Potter Park Zoo and fun for all ages, head over to Lansing today from 10:15am until 11:15am for Zoo in Your Neighborhood! This is a new program providing communities throughout Mid-Michigan opportunities to have memorable encounters with live Education Animals.
Ladies, are you in need of a night out? We know you worked {and continue to work} so hard over the holidays, so how about meeting at Williams Gun Sight Company in Davison for Ladies Night tonight from 5pm until 7:30pm. Take to the their indoor range, no matter your skill level! Be sure to RSVP. You won’t want to miss this!
January 5th
Happening on Fridays, now through March 30th, hosted by Southern Lakes Parks & Recreation, adults, ages 25 and older, are invited to AGS Middle School for Adult Open Volleyball from 6pm until 8pm. Cost is $4/adult. We hope to see you on the court!

Here to kick off the New Year is your FREE Home Depot Kids Workshop. Your child(ren) will get you calendar ready today from 9am until 12pm with this Block Calendar project. Be sure to register for this event so that each location has enough supplies on hand. We’ll see you here!
Head over to the Davison Farmers Market today from 11am until 1pm for a Taste of the Market. Vendors will be onsite preparing special samples of what they are selling. Come and experience the flavors of the market from local vendors and shop to support local! We’ll see you here!
The first Saturday of the month means Family Day at Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University! Head out from 11am until 3pm for this FREE event in Lansing! Who knows, maybe we’ll bump into you while we are out making memories!
Is someone in your home wanting to learn to skate and you don’t know how to help them learn? Head out to Rollhaven Skating Center in Flushing for this Learn to Skate Class! From 12:30pm until 1pm, your child(ren) can lace-up and learn to skate, while having FUN and being active! We hope to see you here!
January 8th
Did you get a Kindle for the holidays? Technology can be grueling. Come over to the Flint Township-McCarty branch of the Genesee District Library for this three-week series of “Get to Know”. You’ll learn how to use your Kindle and Smart Phone, along with the GDL’s genealogy resources! This is a two-hour class, from 1pm until 3pm.
Learn the culinary magic of Italian cooking from one of the greats, Chef Ming Louie! During this three-week cooking series at the Clio Area branch of the Genesee District Library, you will learn to cook a variety of different dishes. Tonight, from 6pm until 7pm, Zucchini Soup is on the menu! Register today and we hope to see you there!
January 10th
Yoga at Goodrich, tonight at 6:30pm. Led by certified yoga instructor, Katrina Smeets, come out to this weekly class at the Goodrich Library. A free event, you are asked to register ahead of time to ensure a spot, as class size is limited.

It’s that time of year again! The 2018 Elf Khurafeh Shrine Circus is in town! Head to the Dort Federal Event Center in Flint today until 1/15, for fun a, affordable and family-oriented event! Tickets start at $10. Check times here!

Mama’s, do you LOVE Zumba? Have you ever thought about Zumba with your child(ren)? Here’s your chance! FUN 2B Fit in Davison is offering a FREE Zumbini Demo Class today from 11am until 11:45am! You must register to attend, as space is limited. Think of this as the ultimate bonding experience with your little. Sing, dance and play, all while developing your little one’s social, cognitive, emotional and motor skills!

Where do snakes go in winter? What about frogs and turtles? Join us for Ribbet, it’s COLD outside! and find out the answer and so much more! Class will be at the Forest Township Library from 2pm until 3pm today. We hope to see you and your child(ren) there!
Second Saturday Trivia Night is back at Longway Planetarium! Come out tonight at 6pm to team up with your friends to compete against other challengers in categories such as science, history, geography and more! Battle it out for bragging rights! Cost is $6 per person. We hope to see you here!

We love Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing! Join us today at 11am for Tadpole Storytime. This month we will explore Hibernating Animals. There will be a story, as well as a science-themed activity! We will look to see you there!

Can’t make it to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Shrine Circus in Flint? Head over to the Dow Event Center in Saginaw over the course of the next few days to see it here! Show times run through 1/21, and tickets can be found here.
Chipmunk Story Tim comes to Harris Nature Center in Okemos with Chickory and Hickory Chipmunk today from 10am until 11am for Chipmunk Story Time! At $3/child, this is a perfect event to bring your pre-school and elementary school aged child(ren) to. There will be games, a craft and a nature walk!
January 20th
Enjoy an evening of cross-country skiing in Metamora on a groomed trail illuminated by candles tonight from 6pm until 8pm at the Metamora-Hadley Recreation Area Candlelight Ski. Complimentary refreshments and a bonfire will round out the fun that tonight is sure to bring! Skis and snowshoes may be available to borrow by the park, but you will need to call prior to the event to verify. This is a family-friendly event open to all ages!
January 24th
In its 27th year of winter fun for the whole family, Zehnder’s Snowfest is back! Head to Frankenmuth and experience one of the top snow sculpting events in North America – right in our own backyards! Larger-than-life snow sculptures and detailed ice carvings will grace the streets, along with entertainment for the entire family, a fireworks display, petting zoo and so much more! January 25th
Diary of a Wimpy Kid Breakout Box Challenge is happening today from 4:30pm until 5:30pm at Grand Blanc-McFarlen Library. Celebrate the newest “Wimpy Kid” book, The Getaway. Solve puzzles, play games, trivia and crafts! This class is recommended for ages 7 and up. Be sure to register to guarantee your spot.
Do you have budding baker in your home? Sign up for the Michigan Easy Bake Off Event today at the Fenton Community Center from 6pm until 8pm. Cost is $15/person. Your Kindergartner through 5th Grader can use their imagination and skills while competing in a baking and decorating contest. Find registration and additional details here!

Join us as Davison Township Parks & Recreation hosts Exotic Jungle Passport Day today from 12pm until 4pm! Get up close and personal with animals from around the world! You will receive a passport to visit exotic animals from Africa, Australia, South America and more! Pre-Registration is encouraged. Cost is $10 to $15 per person (12 months and under are free) depending on registration. We hope to see you there!
January 28th
Head to Okemos today from 11am until 12:30pm for the Polar Bear 5k Run/Walk! Stay committed to your New Years Resolution of being active in this fun-for-all-ages event! Those pre-registered will receive a race t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishes in the 15 divisions. Cost is $20 in advance or $25 on race day! We’ll see you there!
January 31st
