March – the third month of the year containing 31 days. The month of March Madness. The month of green, gold, luck & leprechauns, otherwise known as St. Patrick’s Day. The month that Spring arrives! Most importantly, the month where, after the unseasonably mild February we had, we have CABIN FEVER!

St. Paddy’s Beer Fest and 1/2K Draft Dash at the Flint Farmers Market. This party will feature beer, live entertainment and Irish themed food, all kicked off by the highly anticipated and dramatic FUN 1/2K Draft Dash! Is running not your thing? An Evening of Wine & Roses at the Flint Institute of Arts. This is an annual fundraising effort for the FIA and the Junior League of Flint. Enjoy a night of wine tasting provided by Flint’s popular wine bar, Cork on Saginaw. Let’s not forget the fanfare of delicious hors d’oeuvres and desserts from area restaurants, music and the very popular Wine Pull Raffle.

Sixth Annual Lego Competition and Exhibition at the Flint Institute of Arts. This a free, one-day event for the Lego enthusiast in your life, ages K-12. Family Math Night at UM-Flint. Family Math Night is an opportunity for you and your children to have fun together while learning math! Lots of activities, puzzles and games for students K-6. This event is free and open to the public, compliments of the University of Michigan-Flint Mathematics Department. Resources, door prizes and pizza provided!
Baby Steps with Miss Katie
Genesee District Library, Flushing Branch. Bring your babies, ages 0 – 24 months, to this fun morning with Miss Katie! Explore and learn with rhythm, rhymes, toys, music and books!

Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition at the Sloan Museum. Don’t forget to check out this ongoing event presented at the Sloan Museum! View more than one hundred authentic artifacts, recreations of actual rooms aboard the ship, and share in the dramatic personal stories of Titanic’s passengers and crew. Live actors stroll throughout the exhibit as well, further enhancing the experience. So much history to see and stories to be told!

Sink or Float: Titanic STEM Saturday’s at Sloan Museum. Have fun learning while investigating. Make predictions and find out which objects will float and which will sink. Cost of this class includes a visit to Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition. Advanced registration is required, so don’t delay!
