As the weather starts to cool down and the spooky creatures start to come out, October is a great month to get out and check out all Mid-Michigan has to offer. Learn about the Harvest Moon: Take a Moon Walk to check out the Harvest Moon, make moon sand by mixing 4 cups flour with 1/2 cup vegetable oil for a sensory activity for all ages, or visit the Chippewa Nature Center for a Full Moon Watch from 7-8:30 PM.
Take a family trip to your local pumpkin patch and dress up your porch with pumpkins.

Frankenmuth Corn Maze Weekends are happening through October 31. Fridays: 7-10 PM, Saturdays noon-10 PM, and Sundays noon-7 PM.
Visit St. John’s Cider Mill for Food Truck Friday from 2-7 PM.

Midland’s Fall Harvest Festival happens today from 10-4 PM at the Chippewa Nature Center.
The Fall Festival at Kensington Metropark begins today at noon. Enjoy crafts, a tour of the farm, visit craft and food vendors, and more at no cost.
