Halloween Happenings In + Around Mid-Michigan

As the evenings cool and leaves begin to fall from trees, children across Mid-Michigan will soon emerge from their homes dresses as ghosts, witches, princesses, super heros, and more as they take part in the many local Halloween happenings! Grab your biggest bucket and bring the kids out for some spooky frights and tasty treats!

Crossroads Village & Huckleberry Railroad
Weekends in October – 12-9pm
Weekdays in October (11th, 18th, 25th, and 29th-31st) – 5-9pm
Throughout October you’ll find treats and tricks, cider and doughnuts, little monsters and big fun for the whole family. From an enchanted forest to a family friendly, magic show at the Colwell Opera House, to the straw maze and 20 treat stops throughout the Village, it’s sure to put you in the spirit of the season. And if you’re looking for a Halloween memory to last a lifetime, don’t forget to top off your visit with a 40-minute ride through the autumn countryside on the famous Huckleberry Ghost Train Express or a cruise around Mott Lake on the Genesee Belle. 

Potter Park Zoo – Boo at the Zoo
October 12th-13th, 19th-20th, and 26th-27th – Activities from 12–5 pm each day
Little ghouls and boys will enjoy an afternoon of spooktacular fun! There will be tons of activities for everyone to enjoy. All kids (big and small!) can come dressed in their spookiest, scariest, or prettiest Halloween costumes.

Zoo Boo at Saginaw Children’s Zoo
October 12th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 26th, and 27th – 10 am-5 pm
It’s time to put on your costumes and head to the Saginaw Children’s Zoo for their annual Halloween bash! Make your way through the merry-not-so-scary Zoo, exploring all of the spooktacular decorations, activities, and more!

Goodie bags will be provided at the beginning of the trail. After trick-or treating, enjoy juice, donuts, hay maze and a wagon ride!
