Bloom :: An Event for New and Expectant Moms is THIS week!

One of our favorite events, Bloom puts new and expecting moms in touch with our favorite, hand-selected + mom-approved businesses and services. Mom life is the best life, and we want to share all that our local area has to offer to help you create a mom life that is easier, better, more fun & enriched! Get ready for a lovely evening of friendship, food, fun, information, shopping, giveaways, swag and more!

Whether you’re planning on starting a family soon, are expecting a new arrival {be it your first or fourth child!}, or have welcomed a child within the last year, Bloom is for you! The GCMB team, along with co-title sponsors Captain’s Club at Woodfield and Exclusive Medical Sponsor Hurley Medical Center can’t wait to share this amazing occasion with YOU!

We’re not going to lie, it was hard to narrow down all of the amazing reasons why you should attend Bloom to just 10, but here it goes:

10. Mom’s Night Out 

Need we say more?  What mom doesn’t need one?  We sure do, and Captain’s Club is the perfect spot! Bring a friend, a mom, hubby, partner, whoever wants to come with you! Flying solo? Not to worry, meet the GCMB team and connect with a room full of mamas in the same stages of life as you. Use the hashtag #GCMBBloom17 to share and capture your memories of the evening!

9. Be a part of something NATIONAL! 

GCMB is among 50+ City Moms Blog Network Sister Sites across the country who will be hosting Bloom in May. Using #CMBNBloom17, you can be a part of this national event and share your experience with other moms. What an amazing mama network!

8. Did someone say FOOD?

Floyd’s Restaurant at Captain’s Club will be providing some amazing fare + mocktails for our guests! If you’ve never experienced Floyd’s, you’re in for a culinary treat – YUM! Another local favorite, Krazy Kravings will be on site, sharing their beautiful sweet treats. Check out their Instagram page and prepare to fall in love! Biggby Coffee Burton, a GCMB top pick, will provide their signature chocolate chip cookies & donut holes for your enjoyment as well!

7. Want to capture your cute bump or grab a photo with friends? 

We’ll have professionals on hand ready to capture the fun at our Bloom Event. Jen Prouty Photography, known for her modern, fun, candid style, will be there to catch all of the amazing details of the evening! Show off that precious baby bump or newborn to Kaye’s Photography. A local newborn and maternity photographer, she’ll be there to chat about capturing your special memories during this wonderful season of life {and will be offering a photo session giveaway valued at $350!}.

6. Meet the medical experts, and ask questions.

Hurley Medical Center experts Dr. Sierra Cuthpert, a Hurley OB/GYN, Dr. Hytham Fadl, a Board Certified Pediatrician, and Hurley Mid-Michigan Midwifery will all be on-hand to meet you, and answer your important questions. Bloom is a judgment free zone! So many questions and concerns come to mind when preparing to have a baby, throughout the first wonderful {and challenging!} year, and beyond. Hurley is the  largest medical center in Genesee County, the region’s only Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and offers the area’s only Level 3 NICU where the region’s tiniest babies are taken care of. 5. Get Pampered!

A GCMB Favorite, The Blow Dry Bar, will be on site chatting all about how busy mamas + moms to be can take the time to enjoy their pampering services! Self care is not only important, it’s essential! Moms need a break and some TLC, too. Each guest will take home a goodie bag from The Blow Dry Bar! We hope you’ll pay them a visit soon for a signature blow out, a brow bar experience, a manicure or pedicure, or a massage with their new massage therapist. One guest will even take home a pampering package!
